STEP I: Document and Experience Verification
- Select the desired position from the “JOB VACANCIES” section.
- Complete the online form and ensure that all information provided is accurate and complete.
- Upon receipt, we will review the submitted documents and work experience and communicate the following to the applicants:
*Eligible Applicants: We will schedule an online interview (Meeting ID) and share the details via email and registered contact number. The interview will be conducted via Zoom or another similar platform.
*Non-Eligible Applicants: If the applicant does not meet the required criteria, we will kindly inform them that additional sailing experience on overseas vessels with a minimum GRT of 5000, in line with the position applied for, could help meet the qualifications. Further, completing additional maritime documentation may also be necessary.
STEP II: Online Interview
- The online interview will be conducted according to the scheduled time between 13:00 – 16:00.
- We will complete an evaluation form to assess the applicant’s qualifications.
- At the conclusion of the interview, we will communicate the outcome clearly:
*Successful Applicants: Those who pass will be invited for an in-person meeting at our office within 5 days for Step III testing (final), which includes the Marlin test, or, for AB and Bosun applicants, the steering test.
*Unsuccessful Applicants: If an applicant does not pass, we will kindly suggest that they enhance their ability to describe relevant job responsibilities and improve their basic English communication skills, allowing them to reapply at a later time.
STEP III: Document Verification, Marlin Test, and Steering Test (Visit Our Office)
- Applicants will complete the guestbook and registration form upon arrival.
- We will verify the authenticity of your maritime documents.
- The Marlin test or steering test, depending on the position applied for, will be conducted between 08:00 – 11:00.
- The results will be recorded in the seaman available list, with the following conditions:
*Pass with Excellence: Applicants who pass the tests and have no outstanding document requirements will be considered immediately available for placement.
*Pass with Pending Documents: If an applicant passes but has documents that need updating, their availability will depend on when those documents are completed.
*Fail: If an applicant does not pass the tests, we will offer a position downgrade for AB and Bosun candidates to OS, should they wish to accept. If not, they may reapply at a later date. Other applicants who fail the Marlin test will be invited to reapply after a minimum of 3 months.
General Requirements: Overseas Seaman, Age 18-50 years old, English, Experience minimum 3 years for the position applied and Minimum Ship’s GRT above 10.000.
